Good for you Serge. You deserve it. Joe's right keep the upper guides just above the wood your cutting. Much safer. |

Thanks guys, i forgot to bring it back down after explaining to a co-worker how much cutting depth i had on it, keeping the upper guides above the wood is what i do all the time! Thanks |

Nice buy Serge. Resawing is really rewarding. I love cutting into a nice piece of wood, unless I find unwanted surprises inside. Have fun my friend. |

I now have tool envy. On the upside, my parents just bought a house up here, close by-ish, and I've laid claim to the (bone-dry) shed at the end of the 'garden'. So, yeah, bandsaw, here I come! *goes to eye up some Scheppach and second-hand Italian saws...* |
You could say i sacrificed buying some awesome tonewood but it's been a year that i've been waiting to buy me this,
But now, you can cut your own tonewood. There has been at least two occasions where I've pulled good quality B&S sets out of a board for an investment on the order of $15-20/set. That's a growing part of my stash. The riser block is your friend ![]() |

Don't forget When resawing the guide is way up and a lot of blade is exposed. be sure that you have no distractions, and you keep those fingers clear. Use push sticks and blocks anytime that you're anywhere near the blade. It's hard to play your guitar with missing fingers. Al |

I've been wanting one of these bandsaws for a while! I have a freind locally who has one with a riser block installed and the machine cuts so smooth! Congrats..it's well worth a night on the couch! |
